Looking to book your stay with the Wanderlust Hostel? Maybe you're wondering if you can bring your furry friend to the Wanderlust or have some privacy. We know you have questions and we have answers! Check out the Wanderlust FAQ for and questions, tips, and local favorites!
Does Wanderlust have wifi?
Yes! Wanderlust Hostel hosts a variety of travelers. We know that this may be the only opportunity to check in with loved ones between hikes or mountain bike excursions. Wanderlust is pleased to offer high speed wireless wifi.
Is Wanderlust dog friendly?
Yes! Wanderlust loves your fur babies! We welcome well-behaved pups for private bookings. Wanderlust does ask that your pup accompanies you at all times and refrains from sleeping on beds. Please call Wanderlust at (970) 901-1599 if you have any other questions about the pet policy.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check in begins at 4pm. If you will be early or late, please feel free to give us a call at (970) 901-1599 and let a staff member know when you will be arriving. When checking out, please strip your bed of the sheets and have a safe trip!
What is the cancellation policy at Wanderlust?
If for whatever reason you must cancel your stay at Wanderlust, please cancel your reservation from the site you booked or give us a call. If you cancel within 7 days, you will only be charged 50%. If you cancel within 48 hours, You will be charged for the full stay.
Can I send my resupply to Wanderlust Hostel?
Absolutely! Many thru-hikers depend on resupply boxes to get through their long journey. Wanderlust is honored to hold your resupply until you arrive! Please send any packages to 221 N Boulevard Gunnison, CO 81230
Does Wanderlust allow kids?
Wanderlust is incredibly family-friendly! We have games, books, coloring books, and a mannequin (Abby) who loves playing dress up. There's fun for the whole family at the Wanderlust.
Are the bathrooms shared at Wanderlust?
Yes. We have three bathrooms in the hostel. All three have toilets and two have showers. These are all shared between dorms, private rooms, and staff.
Are dorms co-ed?
Yes. We try to keep the two dorms separated, but in our busier seasons we cannot make any guarantees on "gendered" rooms. Please feel free to check out our private rooms if co-ed dorms aren't your style!
Do you have parking?
Yes! Wanderlust offers parking through the alley behind the hostel as well as street parking in front. Please be mindful of the neighbors when choosing parking. If you aren't sure where to park, please find a staff member upon arriving!
Why do you need my card info during booking?
The hostel is staffed from 4pm-10pm in the evenings. In the event that you will be checking in late and checking out early, we like to have a card on file just in case we miss you! We charge your card once you arrive.
Can I pay in cash?
Absolutely! We will still need a card on file when you book. When you arrive, please let staff know that you will be paying in cash so that your rate can be adjusted to remove the credit card tax.
Do you have a curfew?
Yes and no. We do have quiet hours in the hostel from 10pm-7:30am. This allows early risers the opportunity to get a quiet night's rest. You do not have to go to bed or even be in the hostel at 10pm, just be quiet.
What is there to do around the hostel?

Do you allow large groups?
Yes! We encourage large groups to book the entire dorm. This is a great option for families, groups with dogs, and hiking groups.
Do you offer discounts?
Rates at Wanderlust Hostel are set with travelers in mind. This means that beds are priced relatively low and even our most expensive private room is cheaper than any hotel in town. For this reason, we do not offer discounts.
Is breakfast included?
While Wanderlust does not provide breakfast, the hostel is walking distance to many great restaurants in Gunnison! We also offer snacks for sale in the hostel to curb that late night snack craving!
