Wow, what a great find! This place is awesome, in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to downtown Gunnison.

Amy was a wonderful host and so were her parents...we felt like extended family. The accommodations were super comfortable and everyone was very respectful of quiet hours. Very nice backyard with a grill and firepit, great kitchen, living and dining areas...we truly felt like it was our home away from home. We'll never stay anywhere else when visiting our son in Gunnison, we're already talking about our next trip.

We give the Wanderlust Hostel a five+ star rating...it was truly a bed between adventures and so much more!

I Stayed at the Wander Lust for only a night on my way to orientation at Western State College, But it was the most comfortable night I had in town. Fantastic company, great location, and a warm bed. And Amy is a total sweetheart! What more could wanderers ask for?

Thanks for everything! The welcome, the snuggly cat, a circle of friends, movies, the cozy fireplace, and another warm welcome when our flight was delayed! You've created something wonderfull here. It was a perfect first hostel experience!

Seems there are few things that make a trip more enjoyable than things that go better than expected. Recently a friend suggested we meet in Gunnison to play for a few days and she had a great place planned for us to stay, right?

One look at Amy with her New Year hair-do and I knew this place was different. Buildings tend to take on the character of their hosts and it was easy to see why this place felt more like a warm home than an ordinary hostel. Not short on character, not short on anything at all. Nice kitchen, easy walk to restaurants, fire in the fireplace, and a good warm bed that had me wishing there was more time in the day.

My daughter and I came to Gunnison all the way from New Hampshire to visit Western State College. Our stay at the Wanderlust was warm and cozy. Hanging out in the living room on very comfortable furniture with the fire going watching a movie, relaxing and reading really made the grueling travel for us much less stressful. I would highly recommend staying here, its a little piece of home away from home with all the amenities, especially the well stocked kitchen! The beds were very comfortable and all areas of the house are very clean. Amy the hostess is very welcoming without being overbearing and the other guests there were very interesting to share stories with. The Wanderlust will definitely be the place I stay when I visit if my daughter decides to go to Western State.

We enjoyed the stay here. It was perfect for us as hunters. We could not have asked for any better hospitality or facilities. We will definitely be in touch on our next trip out.
THANKS!!

Having been at the Wanderlust Hostel for the last six days, I am sorry to
leave. This place is a wonderful mix of home and away. I stayed in a
private room, had access to two shared bathrooms (never a problem), and made use of the whole house, including a kitchen with teapot and good tea, the front deck and back porch, phone (free long distance, and me with no cell phone!), and wireless access. Amy is a wonderful host, helpful, friendly, and commited to providing a clean and cool place. I only hesitate to write this positive review because I think it is the best kept secret of Gunnison, and I want to be sure to get a room whenever I come to town, so I hope it doesn't get TOO busy!
